Cleveland Clinic's main campus and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center are both on Euclid Avenue in University Circle, about a mile and a half apart. If your work is at either of them, the east side suburbs are where to look, and the four we have homes in are genuinely different from one another.
Cleveland Heights
The closest of the four to both University Circle hospitals, at roughly ten minutes to each. It is an older inner ring suburb with walkable pockets and a lot of pre-war housing stock. If your contract is at Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals and you want the shortest drive we can offer, this is it.
Euclid
Further out along the lake to the northeast, roughly twenty minutes to the University Circle hospitals. Two of our six homes are here, which means it is the neighborhood where you have an actual choice of house rather than one option. Quieter, more space, and a slightly longer drive as the price of both.
Maple Heights and Bedford Heights
South east of the city, both around twenty minutes to the University Circle hospitals and about the same to downtown. They are the most evenly placed of the four: nothing is especially close, but nothing is especially far either, including MetroHealth on the west side at around twenty to twenty five minutes.
That evenness is the argument for them. If your assignment might move you between sites, or if you are placing several people who are not all working in the same place, a central position beats a short drive to one specific address.
How to choose
- Working at Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals: Cleveland Heights first, then Euclid
- Working at MetroHealth: look at the west side instead, where Brooklyn Centre is about five minutes out
- Splitting time between sites, or placing a group: Maple Heights or Bedford Heights
- Wanting the most house for the money and not minding the drive: Euclid
